It’s been 4 years, since Aj “Gumba” Bock was gunned down on his Beltzhoover porch during a robbery attempt. Aj’s friends, and family will never forget the man who could bring joy and laughter into any situation. Nor will his family and friends forget what the Center for Victims, and survivorsof violent crimes did for them to help them during this troubling time.
On Friday, Aj’s brother,Tone Bock, a local Pittsburgh Comic held a benefit show in memory of his brother with all proceeds going to The Center for Victims, Survivors of Violent Crimes, and Family and friends of victims. Over 200 people attented the benefit at Pittsburgh’s altar bar to remember Aj and to have a good time and enjoy performances by Pittsburgh comics Mike Wysocki, Tommy Kupiec and Ray Zawodni. Slamming musical performances were given by local Rapper Real Deal, Crazie E and an awesome alternative rock band called Paradox Please.
Stories were shared about AJ, and a beautiful photo slide show was shared with all in attendance. It was a beautiful event, with nothing but love and friendship in the air.
The benefit raised over $3,000.
Due to Altar Bar’s relationship with Drusky Entertainment, we were unable to film any of the event.
